Thanks for the info -- I would love to start in Ponferrada -- I remember the
castle well (I walked from St. Jean in 2001).  Unforunately, I am leading a
group of people who are under time constraints - I would have started
closer, but I want them to have the experience of climbing the big
mountain - it is such a good purgative event.
