I haven't done the Camino but I did the England Coast to Coast walk, 190 miles. I swear by Ecco boots. I never had to "break them in", from the moment I put them on they felt perfect. They conform to the foot quite easily. Never had any foot problems, not even one blister. The are waterproof and very comfortable. Good Luck
