Evening all..
My name is Anna, and I live in Manchester, England. You have never heard from me before, since I only signed onto the list a couple of days ago. Am quite taken aback by the number of emails a girl can receive in just two days!

Ok, well, the thing of it is, is that i am currently trying to write a dissertation, as part of my final year of university here in Manchester. My 10,000 words are about why contemporary pilgrims feel motivated to walk the Camino, and the effects that it has on their lives. As part of my course i lived in Santiago for a year last year, and to me it is the most amazing place - if I had the time, I'd walk there right now myself. But......why St. James? Why the fascination with a legend that so many books can happily disprove any legitimacy of? I am so personally curious, and so desperately running out of time to write this thing.
I am sorry if you resent my appearing on your list, where you all clearly love to express thoughts and share advice, when I am not about to embark on the Camino myself. But your help would be so useful to me right now, and would be very much appreciated.
