Welcome!

I just found this listserve this month - I wish I had
come across it before my 1st Camino. You will meet
very few, if any, other "USA-ians" on the way, so it
is nice to have a community here.

It's great to find another autumn pilgrim too! I went
in Oct/Nov 2000 and was a little nervous that it would
not be as beautiful as a spring pigrimage. Wrong!
You will be walking through the vineyards of
Navarra/La Rioja right before the grape harvest - very
yummy! The treeless meseta was no problem in the cool
weather. The snow and the chestnut forests dropping
their fruit in the Rabanal to Triacastela section was
something I never experience in the swamp of Houston.
And there were plenty of other pilgrims to share time
with, without any overcrowding - I always had a bed in
the evening, even as the slowest little peregrina who
never arrived before 5 or 6 in the evening. :)

Ulreya!
Adrienne
