Dear all,
There are several good starting points!
First of all fly in to Paris or Amsterdam.
Then choose from the ancient roads to Ostabat:
Vezelay (train to Auxerre from there train to Sermizilless – wrong
spelling-) > Limoges> Bordeaux> Les landes> St Jean pied de port/
Is a rather easy walk as it avoids most mountains. If you meet one it
will be a steep one (but short) Les Landes is a bore, but perhaps you like
pinewoods for days at straight roads.
Le Puy en Velay (train from Paris to St.Etienne then to Le Puy) Great roads,
but steep, splendid scenery, more difficult in my opinion than Spain
Arles (train from Paris to Lyon or Orange – not sure -) then to Arles. On
request notes by Robert Spenger; he is a great walker!

Hope this serves you well!
as always
Ultreaya and Good Health to you !
