from Oloron to Somport

Has anyone walked the route from Oloron to Somport in France somewhat
recently?  The CSJ book detailing the route (it's on the camino Arles -
Puente La Reina) says it's very difficult - overgrown and precipitous,
etc. etc. - but, the book is 6 years old, so things could have changed.
(At least the overgrown part!)  If anyone could give me more information
about it, I would appreciate it.  Thank you!
