I walked from LePuy to Cahor, France last summer in June/July and wore sturdy hiking boots but carried sturdy sandals....and when my feet were hot, blistered, etc. especially during the first few days, I wore the sandals (with socks sometimes) for as long as 7 miles ...

cheers

I will be walking the Camino toward the end of April from St. Jean Pied de Port. I hope to reach Santiago by the end of May. So do I wear hiking boots or trail runners? Does anyone have an opinion?

Also, should I carry sandals? What do you think?
