Safety Issues in the Basque Region

The Pyrennes themselves are safe, but the ETA
did set off a car bomb in Pamplona while we were
on the Camino last October. We were a considerable
distance down the Camino when it happened, but
it does give you pause. The ETA terrorism is
sporadic and unpredictable.

Best to walk in peace and concentrate on the
positive issues. The rest is in God's hands.
