magnetic ley lines

[Barry Evans]

I've been seeing these references to magnetic ley lines...i confess ignorance,
other than some recollection that the phrase was invented in the 1920s, i
think, by a british amateur archeologist...
...does anyone know if these are for real (i.e. show up on magnetic anomaly
maps) or just figments of the imagination?
