Certifates

I think with regards to certificates there are two things to remember.

Like a University Degree, the university decided who gets it, not the
students.

Second, The certificate spells out the purpose of the recipient. If the
purpose is not religious (and you can losely define what is religious for
you, as they don't ask if you are catholic) why would you want a certificate
that states the reason you walked is religious? My understanding of the
wording of the certificate is that it states that the bearer walked the
pilgrimage for religious reasons, submitting to the proper forms of
Christian pilgrimage, including confession and eucharist and faith.

I would much rather have the certificate that says I "accomplished" the
pilgrimage as a walk, which leaves open any reason for walking, than to have
a certificate that is contrary to my religious beliefs or purpose for
walking the way.
