Non-Christian pilgrim experiences

...the current discussion is an interesting one.  Having walked the Camino in
97' I found no discussion or reference from pilgrims or those hosting us re
our religion or reason for wanting to be walking.  Everyone, including
priests and other religious met in transit  seemed to be walking for private
reasons.  It never occured to me to ask anyone why they were walking.
Receiving the Compostella was a formality of briefly looking at the Pilgrims
Passport and providing information for the document itself.  Perhaps your
reception at the Compostella office depends on who is on duty that day.  Jim
