Another option for raingear: some of the outdoor equipment manufacturers make
very lightweight rainpants--but make sure they breathe, otherwise you will
sweat horribly! Also, gators (like a tube with elastic) can be slippd over
boots/lower calf to funnel water away from the inside of the boots. I think
an earlier discussion of this included the suggestion to use plastic bags
with rubber bands.
