In May-June 2000 I did the last 100 miles with a small group; we started at Vega de Valcarce, just past Ponferrada--we took a bus to the spot, then started walking. Our first day was 14 kms. or so uphill to O Cebreiro. In all, we took about 9 or 10 days to walk to Santiago, which was a pretty leisurely pace, obviously. Buen Camino, Elyn
