well, sounds like you are prepared for your talk, I hope it goes well.
Still, not everyone thinks to go to the etymology of words.  I myself have
still not gotten over the fact that Ketchup is a chinese word that means
fish sauce.  It has been a powerful experience to trace the history of words
because sometimes the modern definition is not as meaningful as the
original.  Take the word "disaster" meaning "away from the stars"...

Thanks for your clarification on penance, "turning back" to God was a real
clear concept that gave me words for something I was feeling inside.
