Shirley Maclaine's book

Well, I forget that other people may not like Shirley Maclaine's past life
theories. I have read a few of her other books and myself believe deeply in
the possibility. That aside, I gain inspiration from her experience on the
Camino, especially when her friend goes and she is left alone. I can see
that that will be very scary for me personally as I am doing the Camino
alone. I was relieved to see that she was afraid too and even cried. I
thought, well if she can manage it so can I. But I also see from her book
that there is a real community available when needed and at the same time a
respect for privacy. She also gives some nice history about the road
itself. I guess we all have our own belief systems and reasons for the
journey. Perhaps first is to respect ourselves so that we may not feel
threatened by the differences in others. I admired her doing the Camino
from beginning to end and staying in the refugios despite her notoriety.
