Easter time crowded?

It can be cold in March.... I remember in 1998 when we were living in
Sahagun, and an English friend/pilgrim came through a few days before Easter,
which was late March. It had been practically sleeting on his walk to
Sahagun; the next day (Good Friday, if I remember), he helped carry and paso
from a chapel into the church. The pass at Foncebadon was blocked with 3 feet
of snow. It's a great time to see Spain's amazing Holy Week processions,
though--and Sahagun is actually a marvelous place to see them--plus it has an
excellent refugio.
Buen Camino,
Elyn
