Easter time crowded?

G'day Richard
I went before Easter in 2000. It was quite (fairly) busy, especially with
Spaniards on holiday. When the Holy Days were over, the numbers of Spanish
dropped off. HOWEVER, to walk the Camino when there were processions and
special services was special. I was in Pamplona the Thursday before Holy
Week, and would not have missed the experiences. There was very little
difficulty with accomodation.

I am still trying to fix on a good date to leave for the camino this
spring. I noticed that March 31 is Easter, and some tourist guidebooks
say that Easter is a big holiday, lots of people on the roads, hotels
will be crowded, etc. But does Easter really affect the camino?
