Post office near Spanish border

Folks

If I start at St Jean Pied de Port, what is the first town or village
on the Spanish side that I will come to with a post office?

I'm assuming that to send a package to Santiago de Compostella within
Spain will be significantly cheaper than sending it from France.

Also, if my companion wants to get transport to Roncesvalles from St
Jean, I asume it will be available (local taxi, bus etc)?
