  At 3pm today the whole of the UK stopped. We stood in silent solidarity with our friends. We don't have words to say but our village church opened for prayer with this leaflet. When our words fail us, we turn to Jesus'.  
  Prayer for Peace and Justice and for the Victims of terrorism today 

  Our Father - God calls us all his children, whatever colour, race or creed we may be. He wants us to grow up together.

  who art in heaven - He is above all things. He reigns supreme and all things will come right in the end.

  hallowed be thy name - He is to be honoured and obeyed by all people. Those who do evil fight against God whatever they may think.

  thy kingdom come - We long for the time when God's way of living in peace and harmony is established forever

  thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven - We want God's standard of love and mercy to be what we live by now, in our situation

  Give us today our daily bread - Only God can supply all our needs: practical, emotional and spiritual to deal with our crisis. Pray for those in need.

  and forgive us our sins as we forgive them that sin against us - We have contributed, if only by not being interested, in the rise of evil around us. God forgives us our sins and calls upon us to forgive even before we understand.

  And lead us not into temptation - It is "natural" and wrong to respond unthinkingly to evil with evil. We must fight against evil with strength, but also with God's goodness.

  but deliver us from evil. - Pray now against those who think and do evil. Ask God to thwart their plans.

  For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. - Allow God to be God and hand over the responsibility for the world to Him. Then go and humbly seek to do His will in all you do and think today. Amen
