Changing socks at midday (or even twice a day if you have a long walk) ,
airing your shoes AND feet  is excelent thereapy... and makes your feet feel
really good!   Wet (from sweat), hot feet  encourage blisters.

You have to take a rest occasionally anyway.    AND< if you happen to stop
by a stream, put your feet in...that's a bonus!
