Coastal Road

Hello,

I will be walking the camino starting in late June.  My plan is to walk the
Royal French Road.  I also have an interest in the Coastal Road.  Has anyone
walked both roads to make a comparison?  Is it possible to leave the Royal
French Road via public transportation and hike the Coastal Road as an
alternative for a few days.  Is the coastal road as well maintained and
marked as the French Road?  Would refugio's be available along the coast in
the summer?  Any input is appreciated.
