the northern route

    does anyone have any info on this route?  Specific to refugios or hostels
that are present there?  It sounds like they do not exist presently.
  I am seriously considering this route - closer to the sea, and perhaps less
travelled than the french way, also maybe cooler in august?
   But, I would like to know if we will be able to stay inexpensively, or
should plan on taking tents...
