One idea might be to try Blue Ice, those solid blocks that are often used in
coolers. Put that inside a portable lunch-sack insulated bag, and refreeze it
at night in the freezer at the refugio--if there is one--or ask at a local
bar to do that for you. Another suggestion would be to arrange with a taxis
driver to ferry the supplies to you every so often, and in the meantime leave
them in the fridge at a local bar/restaurant/refugio. I really don't know
which of these suggestions are most feasible or reliable--maybe a combination
of alternatives for safety's sake?
