typical daily costs run
-400/600pts a night for refugios.
-IF you eat once in a restaurant a day count 800 pts.
-if you buy the fixings for lunch / fruit count 200 pts
-there will be incidental expenses like pharmacy ( for blisters)
-You may want to spent a night in a hotel if you take a day off
count 500/8000 pts for a a low cost room.
this is rather bare bones funding and doesnt count the costs of hotels at start
and finish.
travel from Santiago to whereever your plane leaves from.
incidentally you stay free for 3 days in santiago at a large monestery on the
outskirts of the city...15 20 minutes walk to the cathedral
have an "emergency fund" of 100 $ in pesetas for those days that you cant get to
an ATM for cash
