And thank you, too, Mary Jane.  I will get the book..I actualy have it on order because it is just these aspects of the pilgrimage that really appeal to me, post-pilgrimage.

I had heard/read that Notre Dame is unique in that there are no other "bodies"...now I'm interested to know from when the excavated ones at Sntiago date back to...always fascinating.

Could they be ancienct pre-Christian?  Celtic navigators, etc?
