Books, maps, fraternities?

Rae,  I can't answer all your questions, but I purchased thir  "Pilgrim
Guides to Spain (Camino Frances) and altho I havn't fully studied it yet, it
looks interesting gives details about each town/village with mileage and
other useful info... I plan to take it along.  It is small enough and they
say it is updated yearly.

Don't worry so much about science, this should be more of a mystical
experience!
