Night trains in Spain

Marty, we took a sleeper car from Santiago to Madrid just a bit over a week
ago on 6/5.  It left at 10:25 pm.   It was a private car for just the two of
us and it had an inner lock you could use to completely feel safe b/c it
allowed you to lock the door from the inside.  The person who minded after
the train  car knocked on our door 45 minutes before we were scheduled to
arrive in Madrid (7:30 a.m.)  All very civilized.

I will add however that the train was pretty darn jerky.  It was not a smooth
train like the overnight we took from Leon to Barcelona last year.
Therefore, we didn't sleep nearly as well as we did a year ago.  Best wishes.
