I don't know what is typical but you can live well enough on $15 a day or
less.  $2.-$3 for refugio, $1-2 for coffee and bread in the morning, $1-2
for fruit and/ or yogurt during the day, $7-8 for a good big meal with wine
in the evening.  Add in for the whole trip $100 for souvenirs, miscellaneous
transport other than walking and then add another $100 for emergencies.
That should be enough.  Carry an ATM card with some money in your bank at
home if you're worried, but you probably won't need it.
