HAVE to reply--so sorry to miss your talks--when will you come to
Denver/Boulder? I know this is off-Camino-topic, but I can't resist:
When I was in Turkey, visiting synagogues in various cities, we had the
opportunity to go to a Sat. morning service at a Sephardic synagogue in
Bursa. The rabbi had 2 lemons in a bowl, and at the end of the service, he
passed them around to the (male) participants, who seemed to scratch them and
sniff them. Any idea what that's about?
