Hi everyone!
I'm back from a month in Turkey on a different kind of quest, and I'm eager
to learn what's going on with my fellow pilgrims and pilgrims-to-be. Still
hoping to walk the Camino again with my son, in September. I began dreaming
about the Camino the last few days in Istanbul--go figure! There, in the
midst of gorgeous mosques, a sunset cruise on the Bosphorus, and I'm dreaming
of the Camino.

Just to let you know: in May I let you all know that I had two books coming
out on the Camino. Well, they're out.
The first is Following the Milky Way: A Pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago.
It is the 2nd edition of my book published in 1989 (under my then-name Ellen
Feinberg). It's a travel narrative, an account of my 1982 pilgrimage on foot
on the Camino, before it became so popular. The new edition has an extensive
introduction that talks more about pilgrimage in general, the esoteric and
pre-Christian sites on the Camino, and changes in the last twenty years.
The second book, Dead End on the Camino, is a modern mystery set on the
pilgrimage road. It's filled with murder and mayhem, a rollicking treasure
hunt based on the history of the Camino as well as on the modern-day
pilgrimage.
