Introduction

Hello to one and all. Well, we were asked to give an
introduction ... although most people know me, I'll
give one here:

My name's Ana, born 1954 in Philadelphia, Pa. USA.
Lived and worked in California for 16 years before I
lost my mind ;-) and gave it all up last spring to do
the Camino and try to stay in Spain - which I have
been dreaming of doing along with the Camino itself
for the past 25 years. I did do my first Camino in
July and August 2000, but I was not able to stay
(which I considered the real end of my pilgrimage) ...
so somehow I ended up working in Japan to save money
to try again in fall 2001.

I'm trying to work on my diaries, putting them
together with a vague idea for a book about my
pilgrimages and the before-and-after as well. I will
probably do most of the writing once I'm in Spain
again. I also want to regain my fluency in Spanish so
I can get an advanced degree, so the time in Spain
will be necessary as that will be my academic
specialty.

Mostly, I'm just a simple pilgrim, hoping to walk as
many of the routes as possible. To me, it's the
ultimate microcosm of life, and will be my priority
for a long time to come...
