Leoni: I used the AT&T Direct Service and never had a problem. I have an AT&T Phone credit Card and dialed 900 99 00 11 from pay phones to be connected directly to AT&T in the US. It was just like dialing 1-800-CALL ATT. I forget what the calls the cost but it was not too bad. Jim Anderson
