GoCamino - Last 100 Km's.

Lately I have read so much about the Camino I can't find
a reference to a certificate one receives if he/she has
walked at least the last 100 kilometers. This would mean
starting the walk no closer to Santiago de Compostela
than say Portomarin some 106 km away. One would get
the passport stamped here and then begin the walk.
Is this correct or is my mind a bit cluttered.
