There's also the train to Madrid if you're flying out of there; but flying from Santiago is more convenient.

    Dear all,
     there is not such a thing as a common way back !
    Certain pilgrim like to linger in Santiago (and see Fisterra and 
    Padron) before they hurdle (and hurt) themselves into the modern
    world.
    Most fly out, second group takes the morning train out to Irun and Hendaye,
    you can try the northern railtoad/ tramway to give somewhat pace and peace to your
    return (and miss the occasianal sights of the camino then)
    ...and an real ( ) pilgrim ought to walk back to where he came from...
