Pre-Christian Camino site

I too had heard the pre-Christian Camino followed the path of the Milky
Way--which I guess at one time was a little north of the Camino--at any rate,
people doing that route look for oca and ganzo in the names of towns,
mountains, etc.

Years ago I had an astrophysicist friend run a computer program for me to see
where the Milky Way went 1000 years ago (for example). All I remember is that
it looked pretty vague: a more or less east-west blob across the sky. Not
exactly precise directions.
