ANother brand of socks which have proved excellent is Smartwool.  I ussed
them on the camino, hiking in France and in Thailand (where it is hot and
sticky) and never had a blister.  We hike in the mountains in Washington,
British Columbia and Canada, and everyone we know sewars by the brand.  The
socks are not inexpensive, but they are durable.  Unlike most wool socks
they are not itchy,
