_Following the Milky Way: A Pilgrimage Across Spain_ is the book I wrote
based on my dissertation and my experiences walking the Camino in 1982. It's
a kind of travel narrative, informed by the questions I pondered during my
fieldwork. It was published in 1989 by ISU Press, and my name at that time
was Ellen Feinberg. It's out of print; the best way to get it is at your
