The answer to clothing is LAYERs.   You can be sure that in September in the Northern Hemisphere  that the weather will be changeable.  Some parts of the camino are high in altitude.  Prepare for cold and heat.  A fleece jacket is light but bulky.  it can also double as a pillow.
