tatoos

Hello, Rosina,

I do not consider my retort to Liz to be an attack, ad hominem or otherwise.
I consider it a stern admonition, in terrorem, to mind her own business.
IMO, her comments regarding someone's request for information regarding a
practice of personal choice were highly, and unduly, critical. The woman was
requesting help in performing an act of meaning, much in the way that Mary
Virtue's daughter did with her tattoos. To this girl, getting a
commemorative tattoo has meaning, as having the Compostela has for you. Who
are we, or anyone, to judge the meaningful actions of others when those
actions have absolutely NO impact upon others? And to invoke religion in
one's condemnation is to argue absolutely ad hominem! Instead, both Liz and
you should remember, de gustibus non est disputandum.

With all good intention,

Angus

I, for one, agree with Liz and take umbrage to the deteriorating tenor of
some of the communications herein. As someone suggested earlier, ad
hominem messages should be sent privately to the intended receiver.
