Better yet,
Why not take advantage of the many Internet sites that have sprung up along the way.
You can rent a computer for something like 600 pasettas an hour, and email your friends. Just sign up for a free email account at Yahoo, or MSN or the likes, that use browser software to create, read and manager your email. Then, from any computer in the world that has Internet access and browser software (Netscape, MS Internet Explorer, etc.), you can send and receive your email. Your email host will keep the email on their server for you. Check to see if you need to buy extra storage space if you plan on sending lots of pictures. Otherwise, the free account will probably do you.
In 2000, I found Internet shops in ...
Pamplona
Logroña
Navarrete
Nájera
Burgos
Sahagún
León
Ponferrada
Sarria
Santiago de Compostela
Ask your refugio host, or merchants around town. They'll point the way.

Hi All,
Another question: How long does it take for a letter
from Calif to get to Spain? I'll be using gen'l
delivery. Also - if I get to, say Burgos, can I ask
that any mail that arrives there for me after a
certain date, be forwarded to, say, Santiago?
