......Michael, I have stayed at the Hogar San Francisco just behind the Reyes
Catolica, only a block from the cathedral. It was very satisfactory for a
medium expenditure. The rooms are small (cell-like) but equipped with slick
baths and even a refrigerator.  Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard--the
night view of the double bell towers is lovely.  The dining room serves very
good food in the evenings in the refectory (This is a coverted monastery) The
adjacent church is also worth a a visit.
