Yeah, ISO rules are different from IEEE and IEC rules. I’m not sure what they are on that side.

But always great when standards can’t even standardize on how to write standards!

In Chapter 9 of IEEE 754 / ISO 60559, Recommended Operations has 20+
occurrences of 'shall' . Hmmm
