There was also the technical side of supporting work, some of which like 
that on complex and imaginary numbers which was published, and some of 
which, was behind the scenes. One case where the behind the scenes stuff 
saw the light of day was when one of Jim's streamline plot appears in one 
of Kahan presentations and Kahan both acknowledged Jim specifically as the 
source but gave him a big wrap.
