it could be clearer. For example the new text has title "IEC 60559 bindings"
which makes me think that it covers IEC 60559 functions. And in note [20]:
"The C functions in the following table correspond to mathematical operations
recommended by IEC 60559". Here, "correspond" could be interpreted as
"binding". I suggest changing to "The C functions in the following table
provide approximations of mathematical operations recommended by IEC 60559",
and maybe another sentence about the cr_ functions as you write below.
