I have been securing my apache web server.     You can now use https:
instead of http: as in

https://mailman.oakapple.net/mailman/listinfo/cfp-interest

https: 754r.ucbtest.org

On an obsolete operating system like Solaris 10, this has been an
interesting exercise in building and configuring a recent Apache 2.4
release, getting SSL certificates from letsencrypt.org, and fixing all the
bugs in my previous setup that these new steps revealed.

It seems to be working today for me.    Let me know if you find otherwise.
