I agree with your answer. Sorry I missed "FLT_RADIX is not a power of 2",
then indeed equality cannot happen, and thus '>' is clearer. For decimal-point
vs hexadecimal-point, if it is defined elsewhere as 'decimal-point character'
even with radix different from 10, then it is fine too.
