I allow myself two weeks a year to get something done (one year off for Covid). I am 1713 miles in :) Fires in the Marble Mountain Wilderness these past two years have prevented me from finishing California, but third time is the charm, right? I will be heading to Etna, CA in July to give it another go. I have taken two 'official detours,' and parts of the trail behind me have since been rerouted, but that is the nature of the beast. I have walked a continuous path. Every year I touch the point I last left off and continue on.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">At 65 the miles get fewer and harder with every section.
