[pct-l 69] Re: not the easiest year for a through hike

 Thank you, David.

I passed your email on to my daughter who took 6 months off to hike the PCT
last year, and my spouse who section hiked with me 45 years ago.  Starting
in 1977, finishing WA over 6 years, and then taking 20 years off to go to
graduate school and have our daughter, I’ve now completed nearly 2500
miles.  Just 165 left, which I hope to finish this year, at the age of 76.
I must hold the record for taking the longest time to section hike the
entire PCT!

This is what I wrote to them:

"This is from the list serve that I’ve been on for 20+ years.  Only a few
of us oldsters even know it still exists.  It was a vital way to share
information back then, recruit hiking partners — which I did once! — and
tell stories."

Glad you are keeping it alive!
