Walked from Wards Fork Gap to Grouse Gap over two days 12-13 July.    There's 
still a snow drift on Observation Peak that's blocking for stock, good for
a couple more weeks I would guess.   Otherwise the trail is in good shape
and the flowers beautiful.    Hikers were overwhelmed Saturday by the SOB
race - at least 300 runners passed us.

Several hikers passed us too, who had skipped ahead from the Sierra.
Administered fermented hops to rehydrate them.
