[Numeric-interest] and now for something completely different: cleaning out the garage

I have paper copies of ACM, AMS MTAC, IEEE, and SIAM journals dating back
to the mid-1970's. Most of them I have never looked at since published.
But I have lugged all of them around a lot, and I am getting too old to
do that with impunity. It's painful to acknowledge, but more painful
to carry on as if young.

Here's my take on what's available electronically in online archives based
on a quick inspection -

ACM - all publications
AMS MTAC - all issues
IEEE - all publications
SIAM - all publications since 1997

So I don't need to keep any of those in paper.

If any of you who publish regularly in refereed locales, know something
different, please let me know.

If any of you are affiliated with libraries that are still soliciting donations
of paper copies of old scholarly journals, let me know and I'll see if
there's a match.

In a related matter, I've come across my collection of 56K (and slower) dialup
modems, 56K dedicated internet boxes, fractional T1 frame relay boxes,
DSL modems, and generations of cable modems. I found these in the same
garage operation that uncovered so many boxes of old journals - all necesary
to clear space for the installer of the latest fiber/copper internet
connection from ATT and Sonic. Sic transit gloria mundi.
